Our services safeguard and promote the health, safety and well being of our residents. They build self-confidence, self-awareness and foster relationships with family, friends and the community at large.
MEALS
Delicious home cooked meals are served family style in our bright dining rooms. In addition to three meals a day, we serve afternoon and evening snacks.
Throughout the year, we provide our residents with delicious themed and holiday meals to make sure there’s always something exciting to look forward to at Chrismark Home.
We change our menu seasonally to take advantage of fresh produce in the summer and provide more warm comfort foods in the colder months.
MEDICATION & HEALTH MONITORING
The health of each resident is monitored and charted on a daily basis. We assist in making arrangements for physical, oral or mental health services. Transportation will be arranged for medical appointments.
Med certified staff supervise while residents administer their own medications. In order for staff to assist in administering medications, a doctor’s written authorization must be on file in the facility. All medications are stored in a locked cabinet.
If an individual needs assistance with daily living skills, we will assist and work with them in a training setting. We want each resident to learn how best to care for themselves to the best of their abilities while increasing or maintaining personal independence.
COMMUNITY INTEGRATION &
LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES
Residents are encouraged to participate in community outings. Their input is very valuable and we encourage their ideas. Some examples of activities available in the community are: musicals, library, the community center, shopping, restaurants, parks, picnics, BBQ’s, concerts, plays, movie theaters, fishing, hiking, church, and community socials. Staff arranges for community integration services weekly.
Some of the activities available in the facility are: bingo, cards, crafts, board games, puzzles, movies, nail painting, television, radio, magazines, books, newspapers, group discussions, and group outings.
We celebrate birthdays and holidays; however, we respect an individual’s religious beliefs if they choose not to observe such celebrations.
